Setting the "mommy issues" jokes aside for now, Anon and Aria's relationship is starting to become one of the more intriguing plot threads in this series imo. I don't know if it necessarily means Anon is going to be one of the five winners, but it's clearly going somewhere significant.

I see where Aria is coming from but, Mimi already has a lot on her plate.
Making her competition stronger should not be part of her work.
Unless, Aria wants Mimi to suceed her in all fronts and not just singing.

Man, Mimi really has that protagonist, Aura. Looking forward to the next chapter. really hope it'll get an anime.
I deadass wanted to say "bruuuuuuuuhh" When Mimi told Anon to sing for her own mum. Granted Mimi have no ill intention and doesn't know about it but still. Although I do find that Anon staying calm about it is incredible.
Man, I do find Aria wanting to eliminate Anon is reasonable though. Especially since Anon not only super young but she doesn't have anyone supporting her unlike Tsumu. I find Aria explanation reasonable but at the same time I don't want to see my wife Anon got eliminated

Nice seeing a glimpse of most teams this chapter. I hope Shuri attitude of self-improvement rubs off on Suzu, because she's still stuck on a bad mentality, it can be either a breaking point or a great opportunity.
Maybe Urara's team (C) will be the one with the most distinct final product, rap and guitar? Let's go. Maybe we'll also see some new talents sprout this round.

Mimi is going to be everyone's saviour and likewise everyone is going to fall for Mimi, so it's a win-win yuri situation. Unrelated to this, but doesn't Anon look weirdly drawn when the POV is on the sides? And, of course, Anon is standing on the roof because she is the last boss.

...so we think aria was aware that ibuki and ritsu wanted to be in a group with mimi and wanted to either put both of them or neither of them in a group with mimi, but she wanted mimi to help with the anon situation so she put the two of them in a group without mimi.
Mimi just can't catch a break can she? It always felt like she was on a harsher track than the rest of the contestants. She's had to deal with multiple teammates' issues and not just her own like the rest have had to deal with. The rounds have progressively gotten harder for her because they don't necessarily play to her strengths aside from the 1st round. Aria had two hand picked contestants added in with one of them being a charismatic leader as well...
...but she gives the difficult companion quest to Mimi.
That's some serious trust you have in our girl there Aria but Mimi's competition isn't exactly fair here now is it? You know she can't NOT accept the quest. It's not in her character and even if she could it would affect her performance but if she does it makes it that much harder for herself (see: Tsumugi). You're looking for a successor aren't you?

In one hand Mimi position is unfair on the other hand she have the overall number one in skill and the best singer on her team. Yes Anon is in a slump but the current lineup is the best chance for Mimi to seize number one again.
