A series of perhaps underknown reputation in america. There's only 11 translated chapters yet, there's 20 volumes in Japan and the series is finished! It was made by Tetsuo Hara (SNK, HNK) and I like it. I'm mostly making this thread to find out if there's any other places to find more chapters translated!? I looked at Hokuto No Gun's website and they haven't translated a chapter in 5 years! Oi... Probably a lost cause... Wish I knew Japanese...
The Series Follows a Young Oda Nobunaga through life, and it is great, has the usual aloof inner-genius energy protagonist, and a cool minor characters. The First 11 chapters are grand, focusing on Oda (or Kipposhi) getting kidnapped, befriending a slave and enslaved european and fighting back against the pirate slavers after he and his pals discover a european ship with cannons! It's my kinda story, Adventurous, with that Gore and BRILLIANT Art-Work Hara is amazing at drawing!

The Quest for more Ikusa No Ko Continues! Digging Deep, I found the Lads who translated the first 11 chapters: Hokuto No Gun, though their discord did not let me type, and looking at their curious sight, it sad chapter's 12-46 had been scanned translated, but are being edited and proofread to this day... Note I have no idea how long it's been this way! Leave it to me to get into obscure Manga! ARGH!

The Quest has hit a stand still of course! No one else has translated the series to my knowledge, and not into english for that matter, and there's no telling if Hokuto No Gun ever will bring out more. Perhaps I should call it! It's been five years since they posted any translations. I must look elsewhere!
And indeed, some time ago someone came to the same conclusion about the series, it is now completed after 20 or so volumes and several hundred chapters, yet only 11 are translated, which is a true shame! But, I will find it!
Further research offered this info: "
Hello, this is Bing. I can help you with your question.😊

"Ikusa No Ko is a manga series by Tetsuo Hara that tells a fictionalized biography of Oda Nobunaga, one of the most famous warlords in Japanese history. The series ran from 2010 to 2022 and has 20 volumes.

According to Bing Translator, Ikusa No Ko means Child of War. The series has been translated into English by Silent Manga Audition, but only 17 chapters were published before the release was halted. There are some websites that offer free online reading of Ikusa No Ko, but they may not be official or authorized by the author or publisher.

If you want to read more chapters of Ikusa No Ko in English, you may have to wait for an official translation or use a service like Google Translate to translate the original Japanese text. However, the quality of the translation may not be very accurate or faithful to the original meaning."
Sadly nothing more can be discovered, but this Silent Manga Audition sight apparently has 17 whereas Hokuto No Gun has only eleven! 6 more is a start!
But, alas, they charge I think, and it kinda looks like a sketchy sight, nor worth spending money if they haven't translated anymore... Unfortunate!

Well throughout the months I have investigated sparingly. Though this has availed some knowledge, which is more or less helpful.
For One, Comickey, a Mobile App and Paid Site has been releasing translated chapters of Keiji Biweekly, which isn't Ikusa No Ko, but instills a bit of hope. Perhaps someday Ikusa No Ko will be translated there at least.
Secondly, glaring upon the release Schedule of HnG, depending upon multiple variables, and glaring upon their releases. The Progress Page of their site isn't helpful. It states it hasn't completed the Second Otokojuku BUT, on Mangadex they have. Which is at this point a comfort since it's said about 47 chapters of Ikusa No have been being edited probably for the past six years (Though they have).
In the end it comes down to what they like, which makes sense, and I believe they have one translator, which makes the amount of series' they cover quite impressive. Some series see regular releases every month or so, sometimes multiple, but in the case of the Date Omito Gaiden for Otokojuku, they release chapter 43 after 2 years. In the end though, this could mean one of two things, disinterest or priorities stood in the way, or perhaps that's how long it took to get the chapter. Hiatuses do happen (Looking at you Fist of the Blue Sky: Regenesis...).
Though, a Hiatus would mean the series itself saw to one, and as of last year, Ikusa No Ko Ended with 20 volumes. And as well, the HnG Progress Page states they're still working on chapters 12-47.
So, what does this mean? What conclusion have we derived? Well...
1. It's been six years
Well, that's really the only thing, it's been six years, and that means its best to not hope! Which is not something I thought I'd feel relief in saying. But, if I truly cared so much, I'd buy the volumes off amazon and translate them myself. It'll come if it comes. It's best now to find something else.
