Horrendous stance. You don't have your fucking offhand out front with a one-handed sword, it's just a target. If your opponent has a cutting weapon like a saber, you keep your offhand behind your back or on your hip, out of the way. If they have a thrusting weapon like an arming sword or a rapier, you keep it either up near the shoulder or on the hip, out of the way but available to parry a thrust from your opponent.
