@mahtan: It's explained in the web novel (I've never read the LN) that the night is safer just because everybody's sleeping. Putting aside whether that's credible or not, it's the explanation given.

@eyo2810:
She saves him.
He eventually goes on to become one of her strongest supporters, dealing heavily in information gathering and overall knowledge. He also represents a very tangible accomplishment of hers, serving as proof that she has made a change in the world as the heroine is preaching ideals.

Ayyyy, time for Alicia to get that herb she explained earlier in the chapter, threaten Gille (I've always thought of his name as Jill) with death, and level up even harder. I think the next major plot point was her being asked to take on the role of a villainess to deal with the heroine being too pure?

Yep she def doesn't know how to be a villainess.

But she's cute and her actions are nice. It's a good chapter.

Thanks for the update!

It makes sense, the best stories are those which the villain is at least as powerful and competent as the hero and even better if the villain is superior to the hero.

@Gurgling
They could not.
Timid is not even close to what pusillanimous represents, coward would be a better approximation but still lacking.

Man it always pisses me off when the story points out institutional failings like this and then goes 'it's because of the bad nobles!' and not the system that allows bad people to both gain and keep power with nothing being done about it.

I'm eagerly awaiting an Isekai socialist revolution manga.

Does this story have a different definition of "villainess" than the one I knew?

Also: what kind of asshole king/queen names their child "duke"?

Sounds like a village of future minions. She wants to be the Greatest Villainess. Then what better than a "Criminal Village" as her underlying.

She is so cute. About the sword, I honestly don't understand why they didn't say it to her that she is too OP. I can't stand people that think kids are too stupid and it's necessary to lie to them. They may not be that wise, but keeping the truth from them has often worse results.

@spiderbait
I understand you and agree, but the other extreme has its flaws too: just blaming the system is a widely adopted excuse for people's actions. Not to mention that most of the time the system is kept up by people: the ones in power, and the ones that don't care. If anything adding those who don't care will lead to more results than blaming the system.

I’m liking it a lot overall Rn, but man am I anxious

i don’t know how accurate this is cuz I just read it in a comment but apparently it follows the whole villainess route and all the the bois end up hating her (antagonising her) except for Duke. Maybe she actually will act like a villainess and incurs everyone’s hate for valid reasons (I dunno didn’t read the LN). but I don’t think I can handle it, they all like her and baby her Rn, to turn around and then all hate her, I’m gonna be hurting bad

We do what we must even for those that would hate us for nothing. Loving it.

Thanks for the update!
