Why the hell do you need to walk into a trap to expose enemies that are carrying evidence against themselves on their bodys at all times, fuck secret organisations cannot be this dumb and remain secret.

Yes, great idea, let's ask the citizens male and female to strip their upper clothing and check for a scorpion mark. Surely the fact that the majority of people wear long-sleeves is evidence that they are hiding something.
Then when the mark is not found you ask them to strip their lower half to see if it is hiding below the belt. The mark could be hidden between the cheeks or maybe with magic it can move.
