I wonder if that is truly a major concern or will the girls figure it out but by hiding it not ruin it for him.

Well he can, but its far less efficient, plus he's a genuinely good kid so he's never going to actually harm innocent people unless strictly necessary and the few times he does its usually for their own good

most of them figure out that he's not actually a bad guy but he just tanks the penalty, the saintess and the purple haired girl use loopholes to get around the penalty because the demon god, who is the one issuing the penalties, can only oversee them while they are under the sun, so they use tricks so they only know the truth at night

I would advice to read the WN instead. This series gives you the average long strip experience. Tons of plot holes, decisions by the MC are not (or poorly) explained. Everything appears kinda arbitrary without much thought put into.
