Its clear that this author knows nothing about pharmaceutical companies. His textbook-ideal drug would make this company millions, its way more lucrative to sell this novel drugs with amazing results than sell a longer treatment course that is uneffective. The reputation of this medication could elevate all the other sales and there would be no loss.
Not only that, most of the drugs sold nowadays are not the brand ones, but generics. its the 80/20 rule. Ofc, i wouldn't go and lick this "oh-so-perfect" drug that still has to undergo IV stage clinical trials. It could be unfit for a part of the population, it could have many drug-drug interactions, it could be uneffective to some subtypes of liver-cancer.
Am i supposed to root for the dumb or hate the dumber? Idk, i feel the author is the villain and the reader is the innocent, abused MC.
