Interesting character, this gal. A whole bunch of details stand out.
She tries to act tough but fails completely, being all awkward, maidenly and kind of shy. She has this soft, disheveled, shabby look, keeps slouching, has cold hands, knows the loneliest places at school, and seems so desperate for a friend that she's willing to hang out with the first scumbag who 'noticed' her.
Maybe I'm just seeing things, but it sounds like there's could be a whole bag of issues there.
