I interpret it as Sora feeling sorry for Nanami, as she probably can imagine her situation. Even if they are rivals, they are still friends, plus Nanami was also looking after Sora when she was growing up. So, there's no hate or anything between them.

But of course I could be totally wrong.

That would be nice to see if they can be friends. Be kinda fun to see them not to fight or one up each other but share him.

Reminds me of several chapters ago when Nanami said something like "Sora doesn't realize how easy she has it getting to live with him" maybe they will come to some sort of truce or agreement.

I think the key here is actually in the time skip -- she doesn't have to have those kind of more negative feelings, but is now mature enough to want to make sure things do happen on equal footing.

Of course, Part 2 could easily prove me foolish.
