Hmm, I'm not impressed by how many times it's flashing back to the conversation with the god in the afterlife to retcon in more exposition. The two takes on it in the first chapter both didn't leave much room for all this.

I agree with the protagonist that just giving him mastery of all types of magic kills a lot of the fun of it.

@alternatum - doing infodump at the start would have been too boring, so manga adaptation tried to avoid it. Well, there is no such thing as a perfect solution.
