I really don't see how this dude would start to be attracted to the mc. this series doesn't have any legs to stand on in terms of romance, and if the comedy continues to rely so heavily on the constant blushing then it's already overstayed it's welcome. Honestly the author seems like he's going through the motions of a rom-com without understanding characters need to actually engage with each other. Odd since he pretty much got it right with the one-shot. maybe a bad publisher?
