I guess that explains the start of the last chapter, but I really thought they were going to go off of the "your old self died in Vietnam" thing and that's why Joji didn't recognize him, but they're really going to make him a whole ass other person?

Wait, why did Kurokochi give Ide his service weapon? Won't that become a huge problem once forensics gets involved? Also, I like how he says they're a gift and then immediately says he'll be back to pick them up after.
