I was wondering whenever that whole plot with that girl was gonna come into play. We got a mystery training arc with her that we know almost nothing about and then we got big insane mode power scaling battle for like 20 chapters, and I was starting to wonder if we were just gonna forget about that part

I am honestly worrying about how this story is going forwards, the pace is FAST and we, like eugene himself, are only going in this ever so accelerated plot without really having time to adjust and absorb what's going on and have time to create the whole picture. It makes sense, since we are viewing things from eugene's POV but I personally would like a little calmer revealing of whats and whys of the past and how things came to be like this, it gets to point where this "oh you are so precious lemme do this world changing thing for you because I love you just that much" will not work anymore

Okay so.. Eugene was the youngest of the 12 disciples (basically Gods) in his original life, and he cursed himself or sacrificed himself to a curse in order to stop something (I guess?). Then this Anika, that is referred to as the 13th disciple, is also actually a reincarnation of one of the 12 disciples and I guess was looking for the youngest's reincarnation and found him when he did magic in the entrance exam?
Guess it explains why Eugene learnt that disciple magic so easily, he was around the person making the thing.

This has to be one of the first series I've ever read that cranks the pace up to "we're getting axed soon so ima just cram a couple plot points from the next 3 seasons into the last chapters"-type speed that hasn't had the comments section full of people talking/asking about why the series got cancelled & how many more chapters there'll be... if it keeps going at this speed for much longer, the scale of the conflict will make TTGL look like a fuckin schoolyard brawl...
