Nah, that seems meaner than the manga's been. There's precedent with the stalkers, but they felt like a force of nature rather than a particular person like the elf.

Why do all of the good series get canceled? Meanwhile garbage like in another world with my smartphone literally has a sequel series. Death March into another world has over a hundred chapters.

If the good series don't get canceled they will eventually become trash. Like some wise guy probably once said(don't remember where I heard it), "you either die a hero or live long enough to become a villain yourself"

I didn't expect Chiwa's attempt at sacrifice to hit me, but show her shaking and crying while going through with it actually worked on me. I knew she was gonna survive from her defense but still hit me right in the feels.
