Yuu has been having "bad feelings" about unsafe food since chapter 1, and it was revealed in chapter 7 that his ability also applies to parasites.

If he was familiar with an animal and prepped it before eating it raw, I'd understand. But he just ate a random monster that he saw for the first time

I think quite a few characters wouldn't mind that.

Meat being fresh doesn't matter that much for eating it raw. You can even leave it to ferment a bit. What matters is parasites and other fun stuff that might be in it, but he's got a cheat for that.

That face on page 8 looks particularly derpy.

To me the whole "Monsters high in mana naturally taste good" rule of this universe feels a bit like a writing crutch... I can see the logic in it and Yuu does make certain considerations when cooking different monsters but with the party defeating stronger and stronger monsters, at some point it feels like they could just directly bite into the carcass of a legendary monster and they'd still find it amazing.
