no, I’m a veteran Isekai trash reader, I can tell you what the context was about (broadly) just by looking at the art and linking it to their conversation afterwards, seems like the merchant was struggling when he was younger but still had some humanity and loyalty in him, That’s why he has that smile store rule or whatever, then so shi happened and he’s not as innocent anymore… this is all just art observation + some assumptions based on my knowledge of similar trash
