I'm still expecting (/hoping for) a twist. It'd just be too plain and obvious. Him needing someone young and magically gifted doesn't mean as a sacrifice and he used the word medium (at least in this translation).

Between him and prime minister Mc Mustachetwirl (who is the most likely candidate for having set the assassins on her) we'd have two blatantly obvious bad guys just trying to out-evil each other.

Wouldn't say Evil here.... More like the classic Obsessed Researcher... dr. Jeckill , dr. Frankenstein, dr. Frank'nFurter.

I'm more of the opinion that ZaZu is.... encouraged... to do the things he's doing now. including needing a "Medium".
He doesn't strike me as the type that would otherwise interact with humans, let alone women at all, if it wasn't for his Research and the need to actually having to ...deal... with one.

Why murder a Prince, when you can have him self-destruct, after all....
