Well, I have 2 theories regarding the plot:
We saw the Demon Lord few chap back but we didn't see their face so what if the demon lord is a Female and the reason she's been kidnapping husband left and right is because she is cursed with some high level libido which can only be satisfied with someone experience and resilient. This would give MC purpose of being isekai'ed here all the more solid reason.
His leveling up to defeat The final boss is not in a sense we initially thought. It's actually to charm and "tame" the final boss. Just like the previous Hero who brought peace Defeating the Villian This Hero will also bring peace by "Defeating" the new Villian.

Or scratch all that to it is Hero's wife curse with having high libido and only way to somewhat subside it is through doing with a husband as punishment for cheating on her husband in previous life.
The catch is the condition for truly curing her curse is not just doing it with a husband but also husband who truly loves her. In comes our MC.

Personally I very much prefer the 1st theory.

Considering how the author undid the NTR in the first series (rem, this is the seque) by time travel shenanigans so that they were properly married my money is on the second one. I can see him making this a way for the hero to get experience to become a better husband/sex partner, while the cheating cunt got punished upon reincarnation and can only be satisfied by the her. Then more time travel shenanigans happen and the demon lord never kidnapped anyone and they live a happy fucking life.
