I'd have to hunt through to find it but I distinctly recall Celestine being in the manga in one of the earlier chapters. She never went to Gen though.

different outfits can make you look unrecognizable. and the king's focus at Gen was aimed towards the food. nanami didn't cook the food, nor did she serve the food. he wouldn't immediately recognize the girl kneeling in front of him wearing full public servant outfit is the same commoner girl wearing casual outfit sitting at the corner of random food place.

As an addition to what other folk said, it says a  later day, not the next. It could be weeks later and they're likely hardly face to face to boot.

Occasionally, Gen popped up AFTER she transfer to Empire. It already mentioned by our Gluttonous Princess Adelaide beforehand. And for Royal perspective, Camille that can only option outside status so both royal(Hugh and Adelaide) so they can go incognito without worries

I understand if it’s crowded, but in this case there are only a total of 4 new people, and Nanami actually stands in front of the shop with them when the King is leaving
