They're simply continuing where they left off 9 months ago. No need for them to skip chapters already translated by the ultimate scam-artist.

The one up to chapter 72 was almost certainly MTL at best so getting them done properly is a good thing. The translations by that person are absolutely terrible

I see. i have not yet started this series because of how long ago the last chapter was released, so i did not check for scanlation quality.

i generally dont start a new series if it doesnt get any regular updates, just setting myself up for disappointment

I sent Comicdom $50 to continue this and $50 for another project a while back but they just said that it would require me to give them an additional $150 to put out more chapters beyond 72 and another $300 for the other manga. Needless to say they didn’t put out any more translations of either. I discussed this on Reddit and it turns out that they did this to a lot of people. No telling how much money they walked away with.

What really sucks about the whole thing is that I could have provided money to legitimate groups.

As for those scammers, they will unfortunately pop back up eventually under a new group name or a new group will start doing it. Reading fan translation of something we don’t own falls into a legal gray area but usually leans towards less than legal, as such you will encounter people who will have no qualms about taking your money and running.
