lol other than lack of tamers, surely she wouldn't need ppl with tamer skills to deal with the paperwork, unless i guess the paperwork's piled up because there are so many monster related requests

although you'd think there'd be some 'disguise' magic or so for greedy ppl to be avoided (but i would be a little more selfish than taichi and just go in the backroom and 'create' some of the crystal gems and give to him and just bluff that this is all they had or so versus just making so many crystals it floods the market and just makes it go down in price)

Ok we have confirmation from reading ahead in the raws. Ume is indeed female. I will change the earlier chapters to fit accordingly later this week. Just to avoid any confusion. The manga itself doesnt do a very good job of specifying who is what gender aside from like 2-3 fluffies so yeah lol. Can also expect ch 21 by the end of the week.

There's a part of me holding out for the switcheroo trope where noble to has his own crystal hedgehog that he loves to death and is trying to find a friend/mate for, ignoring the other chaos he causes in the process... but this feels like the bad guy gets put into his place by force kinda thing.
