There are two types of characters (those who apply modern social mores to the new world, those who do not), and two types of audiences (those who want to see a relationship bloom, those who do not due to said social mores). Of the audiences, the former is much larger than the latter. This story is a case of a main character who applies modern social mores to the new world. From the start, he's been clear that he basically sees them as children.I was hoping they would get together soon, but seeing the ilustrations at the end...
Yep, no traps, no walls, they got to choose and lure them to a chosen battlefield but didn't bother explaining if they did or didn't have time for their civilians to help with defenses like those or basic militia volley training. They didn't consider rotating out their frontlines either, but maybe I just read too much military manga. This isn't that kinda manga, but still feels a bit off if you wanna explore monster disasters like this in your manga. They had days to prepare, and they didn't bother preparing any defensive lines? No pitfalls, no traps, no spikes...heck, no shield walls. I'd even be fine with some pavises set up to at least control the flow of battle. The goblins seem pretty stupid and weak, so you could absolutely wreak havoc on them without drawing a sword.
