Man, I honestly can't stand with how slow and disjointed this series story is, where you got a guy who is living with his own pace inside the woods, while the others is about political issues on a random kingdom that we barely know, and this has been going for more than 5 years!

Like, bruh...
For some reason, this is exactly what I like about it 😂 I'm enjoying the fact that MC isn't an all-knowing political machinator but somehow the ball still keeps rolling from small changes.

While I do acknowledge the stilted amd disjointed nature of the story, they are directly connected. Actions from one side has observable effects to the other and vis a versa.
Yes, they're connected, but it makes the story's atmosphere all over the place and weird, where you got the laid back and carefree guy on one part, while there's the super serious kingdom politics shenanigans on the other.

The coup was just the final blow to the old Emperor. It was the MC who unknowingly mortality wounded said Emperor and killed most of the mages that maintained the crystal given by the system admins.
And it was weird, because the kingdom were barely told in the story, outside the evil king, plus a bunch of random sorcerers, knights, and slaves. Like, there's no background story or whatsoever being told, despite they're supposedly a very prominent kingdom that being able to utilize curses and other dark magic.

O . o;

This is an adaptation of a lightnovel. It's functionally an ad. So while only an assumption, i get the feeling that the manga's stilted and disjointed storytelling is likely intentional to push readers into purchasing and reading the more refined and edited printed version.
Bruh, the manga has been ongoing for 6 years, and the story barely moves, where it still tells about the same conflict between the kingdom and the guy.

If this is One Piece, then we spend 6 years, and Luffy is still on East Blue. See how insane that is?

If the whole story can be made into a meme, then it'll be like this:

who are they talking about, Gaji? cause everyone else they've been talking to/about is either a former knight or noble.
It looked like he was side eyeing someone when he said it so I'm assuming someone off panel cause it made absolutely no sense

I am happy to see this back and hope at least the second to last chapter he can understand the forest dwellers. That's honestly what I'm still waiting on. I get that early and I may drop then, we'll see. It's a very meandering story

Thanks for the tl

But it was deeper then that. MC running around everywhere saving the different sacred beasts, and each time he pushed back against the curse there would be corresponding ripples and fractures in the empire.

It didn't need to be deep, they were the big bads that caused strife and corruption in the forest. It was then further explained that the Empire wasn't even the real cause, just the mechanism by which three system administrators were abusing their position. I mean sure it was a rather weird direction for the author to take, but even that particular poorly thought out plotline has yet to finish.

You might find this hard to believe, but most stories and novels before the internet took years to be written, edited, printed, and then distributed to their target audience. So I'm kinda OK with things taking time.

Nope, don't find that insane at all. As above, I follow many series and stories that only update few times a year. And worse, book series that have gap years. That just gives me more time to reread the series when a new update is released.

Apt meme, but not sure how that's exactly a bad. Though I do have to push back a little. God did inform the MC about the empire, and how they were the cats paw the apprentice system admin used to corrupt the system and try to aquire power from it's collapsed.

My main issue with this is just that politics isn't what I signed up for with this series. I'm not gonna say the politics plot here is particularly bad, but when a series bills itself as "guy gets reincarnated into being a magic forest guy who hangs out with magic forest animals" and then spends so much of its time on the details of the enemy's politics rather than the forest, it starts to feel like it's dragging. Obviously the politics have to be handled to some degree, but the degree this series goes into with it feels a bit overboard at times.

It's like if you were reading a series about a hero going to defeat the demon lord, but instead, after he kills one of the demon generals, the story shifts to the demon army doing paperwork to find a replacement general (instead of following the MC) half the time. There's plenty of series that could pull something like that off (especially in a comedy sense), but most of those would have it as its central idea it gets advertised as, rather than a side story that just halts the main story everyone signed up for.
