Is it the translation or is his way of speaking pretty harsh and direct in comparison to how lot of japanese seem speak in these kind of stories?

I don't mind the directness, just find it an interesting change to the usual. He doesn't hold back and speaks his thoughts, maybe a bit rudely, but honestly.

Nah, that shit goes both ways.

You can see an example in "Yoku Wakaranai Keredo Isekai ni Tensei Shiteita You Desu". The MC (female) was basically being stalked by a male adventurer. Shits just annoying all around causing MC to relocate.

This is same situation but gender reversed. Still annoying and weird. You need call out these actions.

Does Leon/Ashe/Leora even consider herself a woman, I wonder. It's possible she would rather be a man. That would automatically mean she couldn't be Jin/Jean's girlfriend. Or she could be, but it would be nothing but a business arrangement, with no romance or physical interaction.

He's letting his view of her actions reflect her. The first time he met her she's viewing him as a waste of time. He correctly didn't want to deal with her mess. So he distanced from both of them. Turns out the kid to them is a natural hoss and not just favored by god. So without reflecting on their first meeting at all without so much as an apology shes been stalking him. He's viewing his personal reactions on the brother. He barely talked to the brother but colors the brother as a siscon. Because his excuse to that moment and the stalking is my sisters cute. The only reason he even still talks tp the boy is because he apologized.

Plus let me tell you how bad this kids view on people are. Just from the few chapters we have known him. This boy is so turned off by people like his sister and pinkheads sis that he just now thought he'd go gay. Came back off the cliff and said ya know what if Leona were a tiny bit more feminine he'd take it whole stock and barrel. Irregardless of the trouble that might bring. This dude picked comfort over strength meaning he doesn't want stress. Leona is in the middle of being exiled and framed by her own brother. Her life is full of stress.
