Sheesh. Even before the dungeon the kid was in danger... But how does this creep not realize that her precious plaything was replaced by some alien who talks all strange? And they're still hanging out at a closed down orphanage, huh?

I do find that the caretaker hasn't clued into the change in personality rather strange and off-putting. I mean I could see her being in denial, but either the author is just failing to properly convey such, or has just chosen to ingnore the topic entirely, it doesn't feel right.
The other girl is so suspicious, I bet she also have a hand as why Runa is not taken by anyone (read: adopted) despite how they describe Runa as cute and adorable (who wouldn't adopt her?)
