It is “almost” if you compare to other participating villagers. But shift perspective to mere mortals that were spectating at that tournament where Garf dominated? And picture goes up in couple of dozens of tones.

tbf to angel, their lost is due mostly to number of wolf. from novel only POV: at least Tia and Lu can fight a single wolf off.
but problem is there is like 100 follow around VC. and all of them is consider same pack so they work together too.
the wolf that join tournament is like the best among wolf.

nah demon king just never win in his own rank there no way in hell he can fight rasuti, consider how he was call the strongest demon king during this era and there even a super weapon intend to attack his weak spot.
i think he is outright stronger than knight division. but just a head below all of king rank.


only time he "win in combat" is against a warrior class that were push to fight him.
don't forget a bit where former demon king fight pre-evo zabuton(if that even is zabuton) to a stand still and people treat current demon king as stronger than that.
TLDR, i think you downplay him a bit while forgot that God dragon is just on whole entire level
