Well, Saphie was straightforward about the need for Lumia to get experience collecting materials and as expected it's also part of their training.

Lumia is well equipped, with a bow, arrows, a small knife and a bag which is definitely smaller than the bottle she's using for the flower she collected, so I guess it has some magical properties in terms of space at least.

Unless Saphie has a way to track her disciple, I'd say that she shouldn't really be able to find them in the forest; I mean she doesn't know when nor where they're collecting what.

Shuu can just use his detection skill anyways so, unless he gets careless again, which has happened before, they shouldn't encounter whatever is worrying the adventurers. But if he does, he'll likely be able to dispatch it without much difficulty due to his magic power.

With these small chapters it's definitely nice to see a triple update.

My WAG is that the risk to reward isn't high enough for the more talented groups to take on the missions, and the less talented lack the care and ability to propperly harvest quality materials.

But mostly it's just a farce that author use to allow their OC make bank doing the thing no one else thought would make money. There is almost always a convenient shortage of medical herbs for an isekai protagonist collect for starting capital, low ranked monsters to grind exp and collect materials from.

I would assume it ment an individual or group that has attained some manner of achievements or notoriety. Almost anyone could gain a rank or two doing low level fetch quests or cleaning the sewers, but a "ranked adventurer" should be someone who has subjugated strong beasts, explored dangerous locations, or fought notorious bandits.

NGL, after finding that dragon scale in the first few chapters, I'm more surprised he hasn't targeted monsters for their shiny loot. Sure I get the author doesn't want to turn their OC into just another murder hobo, but It still feels like it just the same as other MCs, just to a different extreme.

I think the first chapter said he liked "everything" regardless of value/wanted to know the backstory and read descriptions rather than it just being valuable but yeah he does seem more into plant/herbs versus monster drops

I know they’re being really thorough with the explanations because were somewhat at the beginning of the series, but I can’t wait to see him gather some really complex stuff.

The magic bag got that covered already though, effectively stopping time in there. remember those berries or we that he needed to flow magic into so they could grow before picking? they deflates fast normally but thanks to putting them in the bag they were still fresh picked when he delivered them to that bath herb guy
