Some cultures prefer dark meat over white meat. Some cultures prefer lean, gamey meat over rich, marbled meat. Many people completely pigeonhole their palates based on these presumptions. We all know that guy who gets his steaks well done.

That bonfire cage structure on page 17 isn't stable. There's nothing holding up the crossbars, and some of them are inside while others are outside, randomly. Not to mention, it's made of wood so it would catch fire eventually and collapse, possibly even falling on someone.

@Ironclad In this case, it's the fact that bleeding the kiba before slaughtering wasn't practiced yet so the thigh meats were the only palatable sections. The rest was left for scavengers called munto which is why the fat dude was so pissed at first.

Adding to this, they’re a tribe of hunters purely for the sake of lowering an invasive or harmful animal’s population. They hunt so many of them, that dragging back all of their kill would be highly encumbering. Something like bleeding on something you need to kill more of later is like a waste of time.

That's the angriest eating of meat I've ever seen, lol.
I still don't quite understand the point of this series, either. It doesn't actually seem to be going anywhere.

@Riger
It's about trying to change peoples' values by introducing them to modern cooking. Literally, enriching their lives. There's no actual goal. There's no demon lord to be slain, or cheat skills.

Just making people happy with good food, and the ensuing economics and..

political strife that comes with being too prosperous.

@Riger It does start to go places, but the series progresses at a fairly slow pace. I don't think we've reached the point where Asuta comes up with what he wants his purpose in this world to be, yet. But, considering with how condensed the manga is, it might not be much longer.
