I don't think this manga should focus so much on fights when the outcome is clear due to its very premise. Even unarmed, it is evident the members of Nightmare are going to win (or, at worst, be resurrected afterwards with the ring-ex-machina). So, aside from learning that Yuma's backstory in two panels, this chapter is basically filler.

Edit: Mmm... It seems it is a controversial topic, but I stand by my. Even if fights provide a much needed reprieve from the "psychological horror" of being surrounded by overpowered waifus, ultimately, the very existence of the resurrection ring makes those fights meaningless as a plot device. Heck! The author has had to come up with excuses to take away their weapons twice to avoid the members of Nightmare from destroying their enemies too fast.

looks like these two demon siblings picked the wrong enemies. they’re up against OP yanderes girls. deaths these demons in the next chapter are basically guaranteed :aquadrink:

FYI. Chapter 21 page 28. Kuro declares there is only one resurrection ring left (his). https://mangadex.org/chapter/61985164-6f39-40ea-8845-ddfb67c89367/28

I disagree. fights can still be fun even if the outcome is obvious. best example: one punch man.
most of the time the manga focussed on Kuro for fairly obvious reasons, but giving the other characters a bit of a spotlight for once is also nice. we also get a bit of characterisation of a bunch of them.
while it is true that the story didn't exactly make huge progress I still wouldn't call it filler.

Calling anything in an original manga "filler" is kinda...

They are directly attacking their yandere insecurities. I forsee them killing the demons even if all the limbs are broken by ripping out their throats with their teeth.
