There's this (ridiculous, IMO) cultural belief in Japan that children are exactly like their parents; carbon copies, if you will.
Therefore, it's normal that siblings will have feelings for each other, oarents and children will, and step-siblings will especially have feelings. Because they're exactly like their parents.

Coming from Irish, Native American, and just general American society... I find it extremely Fucked Up.
But that's me, I guess.
