he really should start using normal intermediate rifles more. I know sniper rifles, shotguns and pistols are cool, but there is a reason why select-fire rifles are the most common type of firearm out there

Yep. Modern ones are as close to a "do-it-all" general purpose firearm as it gets. With the US finally adopting a 6.8mm platform (roughly .270-.280 caliber), you have a great middle ground between speed and power. Recall that the M1 Garand was originally chambered in .270 for that reason, and it was a heavier semi-auto rifle with a lower capacity. The .30-06 switch did work out for it, and Browning knew what he was doing (that caliber is my preferred hunting round, and with a steel core it penetrates materiel), but it's not an all-purpose slug for small arms by any means.

Yeah discord ToS are clearly more permissive of anything unauthorized or sexual, that people ignore it and don't report it doesn't make "ok" on their eyes.

I don`t think that the new spear or whatever they will adopt will be better than the ar-15 in 5.56 they are using now, but for an isekai it would definitely be one of the best weapons for range, large beasts, damage per second, and general ease of use. (granted if you had access to logistics/infinite ammo)
