If you think the manga is generic, that’s because it was written in 2015

I mean, that’s still when many of the most popular isekai series were written. Arifueta was written around the same time, Shield Hero was written in 2012, hell The Wrong Way To Use Healing Magic was released in 2014 and defied the genre by not making the kingdom and other students massive tools.

Anyway, a cursory google tells me that while the WN is still running, it’s approaching its finale so I guess they wanted to strike… I’d say while the iron is hot, but at this point it’s dead cold.
