i’m going with the theory of it being ed’s 10th birthday, and he’s getting the edogawa memories

If her magic was that versatile she should have also just closed the mouth of the cave entirely and just made a secret entrance. That way all the perception inhibitors and illusions would be mostly backup and less likely to be detected.

Oooh! His face reminded me of something, so I went back to Chapter 1 to make sure, and yep, we already have (partially) seen Edogawa! He was the junior that tried to save her when she died in Japan! (Also, the translation accidentally used feminine pronouns, but that’s probably because raw didn’t have any, and the translator had to make a complete random guess, not expecting this to come back later. XD )

Ah good catch! I did use female pronouns in ch1 but in my defense, Edogawa had some crazy long hair that fully covered his right eye, so I assumed he was a girl

Why hold back, if she is building a semi-elaborate apartment inside a cave with magic, she should also be able to either make air vents, skip them entirely by using more magic or just find an air producing artifact in her storage.

And just as an aside, depending on the air flow of the cave, they could still die of carbon monoxide poisoning if they are too far from the entrance.

Well she did fully burn through her MP and HP just doing this basic version so I can forgive her for not making air vents

LoL, again it depends. Doubt the author even considered any of this, but depending on the number of fuel burning fires, or lack there of. They could stay in a room that size for around a day before the air started going bad. Even then there would be signs that the air turning. All assuming there is poor or no air circulation. Even a slight breeze would mean days worth of breathable air. Hence why I wondered why she didn't just seal off the cave entrance and make a few air vents.
