Tbh having read a lot of eroguro, this was a pretty lame ending. I expected some degloving or disembowelment or whatever. Still, a very weird and interesting work, and I guess this is innovative at being guro without any guro. It's like a horror movie that does the worst off screen, which does here work pretty well. I'm only disappointed by the promise of escalation, which implied greater horror with each chapter, which to me suggested getting closer to explicit gore. Anyway, still good. Funny, but I think if it leaned into the guro it would perhaps have been funnier.

This manga had its moments, but then it became kind of meh and lost a lot of its edge like it became afraid of really show the painful gore

Thanks for the TL! This manga's presentation of everyday mundane suffering was quite effective for me as each chapter would bring back painful memories of similar scenarios in my life that I didn't need to see in excruciating detail to appreciate.
