The irony of your comment is that in Japan marrying your cousin is legal, the issue for them would be the "social stigma".I LOVE THEIR DYNAMIC JUST GET MARRIED ALREADY AND BE HAPPY FUCK THE LAWS
The risk of getting recessive genetic diseases is about doubled for cousins' children than for the general population.Well cousins can get married in Japan by law. So no issues there
Most likely yes, since almost every story this author does is about cousins.
Examples;
Milking Cousins
Paternal Cousins
That and the R-18 Pixiv page they have, which DO have sex scenes drawn for these 2.
Though I should warn you, they are NOT aged up for the sex scenes...
They are the same age as you see them now in the story.

That's not only an issue in Japan, it's starting to be an issue in my country too.I bet this chapter hits hard with the JP readers cus they do have this aging population problem and low birthrate
Mate, I'm not hating on it. I like the series. I'm just a smidge concerned because this is a brand new serialization and so far the only 2 serialized chapters can't seem to decide if it wants to do a reboot (which it should have done to flesh out and extend the story) or continue where it left off (not what I would do as Nozomu is only supposed to be there for the summer and the summer is almost up after chapter 4) and is straying from the style and content (nuanced suggestive humor as Nozomu slowly realizes he's actually attracted to his cousin) that caused it to become popular enough to serialize in the first place. Continuing like this could be a death sentence and I want this manga to succeed. I don't want it to get canned after 1 or 2 volumes. But if it continues like this then that's exactly what's going to happen as original fans will slowly lose interest and new readers won't jump on board. Chapters like this one, in this type of series, work best once the characters and story are already fully established to give readers a change of pace from the status quo. The first 2 serialized chapters are just going to confuse new readers as to what this series is supposed to be. Is it a stereotypical ecchi romcom like chapter 1? Is it a slow paced iyashikei like chapter 2? The preserialization was neither. Also. . . And I know this is going to sound salty even though that's not my intent, but ~points to my avatar~ I think I can recognize good world building when I see it and so far this is NOT it.Maaaan, give it time ahah! World building and seeing how the characters interact in nostalgic situations, such as with the Granny, is development in a way!
Sure, we all expected them to act this way, but seeing them go and do it is still good.
If you want proof of what I say look no further than Aka Akasaka’s work on Kaguya-sama, where at the beginning it was roughly 1/2 plot and 1/2 world building, and all that would building really paid off in the end!
A manga like this will generally not run for longer than three-four volumes, and honestly you don't want them to. They get sorta shitty after that point and just a cash grab really.Mate, I'm not hating on it. I like the series. On a side note, I can't emphasize enough that I'm not upset at you or the series. I just enjoy picking the things I watch and read apart and I'm seeing some early red flags that need to be fixed if this series wants to be successful.
There's some feet thouNo cousin feet this time
I wouldn't expect it to last long, the story is only supposed to take place over 1 summer and it's a comedy. There's only so much you can go with that unless your name is Kenjirou Hata (Hayate no Gotoku, Tonikaku Kawaii). If it continues like this, though, it's going to get cancelled early. 1 volume, 2 tops. If they did a proper reboot and continued the style of the preserialization this could be a solid 3-5 volume series.A manga like this will generally not run for longer than three-four volumes, and honestly you don't want them to. it's not against the law in Japan for cousins....I LOVE THEIR DYNAMIC JUST GET MARRIED ALREADY AND BE HAPPY FUCK THE LAWS
No, I think you're right about that. My bad. I'm a yankee and don't have much southern exposure.... isn't bless your heart actually an insult?
I'm not too good at southern accents and sayings, but I thought it was kind of condescending.

Edit: My point is, previous poster said "give it time" but this series doesn't have that luxury if it wants to actually be good and inconsistent writing will give the series even less time than it could have potentially had.
Hinagiku is mai waifu.
It's a crime she didn't win Saimoe.

I lost interest after the Athena arc (this was around when the second season was airing iirc) because it didn't go anywhere, and I still haven't read the 100 or so last chapters. I also never watched the third season, though I did watch the movie.
I don't think I'll ever forgive Hayate for
breaking her heart. Twice.
Nor will I ever forgive them for never properly animating her story. I have a sneaking suspicious that they are about to ignore or gloss over Tsukasa's flashback arc as well, assuming they even animate any more Tonikaku Kawaii.
