The Demonologist brought Charlotte to life and is studying the effects of her resurrection, also William got punctured by the Nightmare Rose, that he will also use to experiment the effects in it as she is binded to him, allowing Charlotte to visit William nightmare.

Thought William scars from the flashback was his torment from Charlotte death, but it appears it was due to his father abuse...
