idk what it is about this Chinese art which annoys me so, but man... This shit is ASS! I'm not sure if it's the janky movement and action scenes which makes every character look like they have a stick up their asses at all times or if it's the supremely unnatural facial structure. Like, you look at the faces and you don't see anything wrong but your brain just knows that what you're looking at isn't natural. I myself couldn't point out why the faces produce such a feeling in me, but I get that feeling any time I read manhua with this shitty mass-produced art style and it pisses me off so badly.

Like the first scene where the main character got a full look at the Empress in chapter 1. She looks like a fucking alien trying to pretend to be a human! What do you mean "this magnificent..." my brother, she's a fucking UMA!

honestly its the eyes... those eyes just SCREAM alien, like they are so far apart from each other istg not even the largest bridge on earth could close that gap.
