I remember Judith thinking that if she hadn’t been surprise royalty, she would have been in jail right alongside Isabella, and in the novel it adds on that they were both ultimately lying for the sake of protecting the kid under their care. I’m so glad she didn’t forget about her, and thought to send someone to check on the poor kid (even if it was several weeks later, ouch). The artist did such a good job here of showing a mother’s desperation!
I think I might come to like Isabella as much as I ended up liking Victoria. She’s a quick thinker, a fantastic actress, seems to be pretty pragmatic, and doing her best to protect the son she loves despite being dealt an absolute sh!t hand.
