they add so many love triangles that I just don't give a care about the third wheel anymore, and it's even worse when the main couple isn't that likable.

I understand a story needing some kind of conflict, but it's so overdone. Most of the time the other woman is likable as well so you feel bad for her. The gyaru in Komi is a prime example. Inb4 harem argument. Fuck harems.

There are ways to execute a love triangle so extreme that anyone would think twice before even adapting it. Look at White Album 2.

In serialized manga, even though I dislike it, I can understand why the author would introduce a love rival: to push the two leads together. I dislike that method and I think there has to be better ways, but it’s somewhat understandable. I don’t get why this author has to introduce a third character that has a crush on one of the leads when it’s a short twitter manga with somewhat fast progress. It just feels really unnecessary IMO.
