Sounds about right for this sort of manga. Rarely, if ever, do authors think and handle things right.
Resulting in cultural moral pollution as easily influenced (young) readers' values are developed off fiction.

Capital punishment and justified homicide in defense of self and others is considered "evil" in some modern societies as a result.
Horribly warped/non-existent sense of self-preservation, legally prohibited, by elite who benefit. (And resulting horror stories.)

Then again, given what this series has shown with trope obsession with slavery...
...I wasn't expecting a hardcore-realistic well-built isekai universe or characters.
(I read "Galactic Navy Officer Becomes an Adventurer" for that.)

Ignore everything I said here... The next chapter makes this so much worse.
Most people would hesitate to delete someone after coming from a peaceful world.
Those with military training sometimes hesitate to pull the trigger as well(that can result in getting themselves or others killed).
I dislike characters like this. It's a total failure to adapt. It's been a long time since I read the novel but if I recall correctly he gets over it and adapts to his surroundings. If I'm remembering correctly this may be the one with a level system that eventually just completely gets forgotten too.
Anyway I did say I dislike characters like this but if they finally accept reality then I'm fine with it. But not if that requires a companion to get hurt or die from the characters foolishness. In reality you should hesitate to end someone so it normally requires training (or life threatening circumstances) to do so. Some will easily pull a trigger but if you give them a knife it's a different story.
I better stop here, I've already rambled way to much.

I’m not against justifiable homicide, I’m against those who’d use any excuse to justify the homicide.

Not in this case, though. This was just sloppy. At the very least, take them to get interrogated to find the rest of their crew, then take them all out.
