I was wondering why the story was suddenly okay with Takumi buying debt slaves (who were previously out of the picture because their servitude is only until they pay off their debt + his secrets can't be guaranteed after that), but I guess having the character just give away all their money's an easy way to write around that.

Yeah and the MC didn't seem to know she would do that either. It makes no sense that he would even ask to see a debt slave.
