No. The Superstar that they're talking about is Luminary, a vocation in Dragon Quest series.
In main games they're always called Luminary, and it's only in Dragon Quest of the Stars that they're called Superstar.

"Grain leaving" is as incorrect a translation as "playful person".
穀潰し遊び人
穀潰し [lit. "crushing of grains/cereal"] = deadbeat
遊び人 [lit. "playing person"] = player (can be either "playboy" ot "professional gambler/cardsharp") or "freeloader" (hence two of the three upgrades; the last one is because, for some reason, as a DQ class, or at least the way it appears in novels and manga that derive it from there, it's depicted as something like a stage magician)
Therefore: "deadbeat freeloader".
