It’s an interesting take on the boomer mentality. Instead of an aggressive extreme it’s all the way to a pacifist extreme.

I love how it's the biggest lizardman of their group who is the wisest in acknowledging that they don't need to fight just protect the lake and fish in it.

Luce continuing to be best girl, also love how she has no clue what gramps is doing but has full confidence in him anyways so is on board 1000%.
