I get a feeling that Seren's dislike of Net boils down to "It's over Net, for I have drawn myself as a chad lone wolf and you as a soyjack that can only get things done by asking for help".
Also considering people were calling Seren as Reze's rival only for Reze to become a group of knights that help Net occasionally may feel as if her "rival" was stolen from her.

Maybe Asrock? They make graphics cards though not chips. :thonk:
I suppose that whatever IT company fits the bill will exist like a country, hahaha.

I find it fun trying to figure out if a name is literally just another real world company wordplay.

Amused as to the change from Envidia to Espidia. I mean, that’s a whole-ass consonant change. I don’t remember the Japanese mixing up n with s.

I feel like Seren is maybe a bit too obvious of a villain here. Yggdrasil is currently a Chekhov's gun just screaming to be fired. Why would Yggdrasil, people that go out of their way to avoid Net, send out someone that clearly bears malice towards him? That wouldn't make any sense, right?

Alice's companion, Exzeal, is someone also immediately suspicious. I don't think Alice herself is bad here. Yggdrasil have done human experimentation and Alice has gained immense power extremely fast on her own? Hmm... Could be related. Also, her name would fit. Just not quite Wonderland this time. Our main character is basically called networking after all, names clearly can matter.

It's also possible that this is all just one big nothingburger and I'm stupid for trying to make sense of anything.

Okay Amdo empire is from AMD, but what is Oslock?
I recognized that Envidia sounds a lot like Nvidia, but the other ones did not even register at all. It makes sense though. The other countries would be:
  • エーヌビディア - Eenubidia (Nvidia)
  • オスロック - Osurokku (Asrock)
  • インテール - Inteeru (Intel)
  • アムド - Amudo (AMD)

That is a typo I just fixed. In my hurry, I misread ヌ(nu) for ス(su). Also the dakuten blended in with the katakana and I thought it was ピ(pi) instead of ビ(bi).

So the countries should be….Envidia, Osrock, Inteel/Intail, and Amdo?

You gotta keep a cheat sheet for terminologies at this rate lol
