Regardless of the ethics surrounding cousin marriages, brocons in anime/manga are nothing new. Yes it's weird and it's fine to call it out every now and then but anime/manga has always been weird. Is that not the reason we watch/read, because its different from everything else.
More importantly, I’m glad Kenichi is still fundamentally the same dude. He started off as someone who was bullied and too weak— both physically and and in spirit—to even fight back, so it would’ve been really easy for him to flip the script now that he’s strong and has had sex.
But he hasn’t let that get to his head. There’s no massive ego shift—he still treats Shiki and Stella right, which says a lot about his core character. Even during those magical rampages where he’s not fully in control, there’s still a sense that he’s holding back enough to not hurt them.
It kind of shows that his growth isn’t just external. Yeah, he’s stronger now, but more importantly, he hasn’t lost that sense of restraint and care for the people around him, which makes his development feel a lot more grounded.
Thanks for the translation!!
