中秋节 is also a national holiday in China (break from school/work), which probably explains the shorter chapter this week.
Also unrelated to the chapter, but it's tradition to eat Mooncakes at night when you can see the full moon, so both the mooncake and the moon are full and round :)
中秋节 is also tied to the legend of 嫦娥&后羿 Chang'e and Houyi, where it is said that once a long long time ago, there were 10 suns in the skies, and everyone on Earth would suffer under the blistering heat. A hero Houyi came and shot down nine of the suns, and in return he got 2 portions of an elixir of immortality to share with his wife Chang'e. The stories vary on why, but Chang'e took both portions of the elixir and became immortal, so much so that she could no longer stay on the Earth, so she flew to the moon instead (and that is where she remains today). So when you gaze up at the moon eating your mooncakes, you're looking up at Chang'e :)
