Contém spoilers do romance.
THank you

Yeah. His mom dumped his dad and him to be with the other guy, who didn't want kids.
And it turned out he was the other man's spawn, not his dad's, so she dumped her affair-baby on her actual husband because neither of their cheating asses could be bothered with birth control.

And he found out at school in science class at school because they were using blood types to demonstrate inheritance. He's type O, his dad's type AB, and he learned that you can't get there from here.
It really sucks to have a mother like that; the protagonist did the right thing by leaving, because what she did is practically unforgivable. In my opinion, it’s better not to force forgiveness or reconciliation; it’s best if they maintain a stable relationship without being close, since the bond that held them together was completely shattered. I think it’s best for him to simply respect her but keep his distance.

I kinda figured there would be a For the Sake of the Little One type thing going on, but I guess I can settle with that. Much better than what could go down under these circumstances, given what some other LN novels have done.

Good on him for keeping her out of his life even if he adored Suzuka enough, as a sister or not. He deserved that anger and holds the final veto on whether or not he chooses to forgive his mom, so good to know that the story lets him retain and exercise that right.
Hate to burst any bubbles this long after but having read the LN volume with this part out of curiosity, that spoiler comment is misleading. It does happen how you figured it would, and he very much does fully forgive her. They just continue to be strangers because they can't change the past. Hell, the story even did both the "We lied to protect you" (from scandals, since the bio dad is in the entertainment industry) and "You said you didn't want to come with me" thing to boot

All that I mentioned happened in the tail end of the volume, too, which honestly makes it worse
