5 chapters in and I'm already annoyed by how FMC is handling things. It has become a scary situation and the risk of lies being spread at work by the jerk increase, so why not being the one that speaks first at work? She could've blamed him and exposed him countless time, from the bbq onwards.

The only mistery we have now is what the hell the b*tch wants from FMC: she didn't want to date the jerk seriously, and if she really liked MC she could have simply gone for it before he got involved with FMC.
So why still keeping on pestering FMC pretending to be innocent?

It's the arc, I think. She starts as a traumatized doormat, awful people try to take advantage of her, she sacrifices to appease them and avoid conflict -> she learns to forgive herself and how to stand up for herself, exposes the abusive Itsuki and cheating Kana, and finally accepts true love with Fujisaki. We're just in the doormat phase and it's uncomfortable to watch.

I also expect Kana will have some redeeming backstory. Something like "I grew up poor and my father was abusive so I learned to charm men and get away from him! I'll stop now, promise."

The biggest problem here is that the characters lack depth. She is nothing more than just a doormat. And the three other character also seems to have just one specific quality, and really nothing else. You just never see how any form of backstory makes anyone feel a specific way, and there is little conflict within the same character.

It's like wathing a cheap teenage drama. Even high school kids are generally smarter than any of the characters we've seen thus far, at least judging by what's shown in the story.
