It doesn't seem like the author wrote these characters to be trans. They are called "crossdressing boys" nonstop, and the series is called "The Crossdressing Boy Wants to Take Off His Skirt" and the series also doesn't really use Trans vocabulary.

a feminine man can have feminine gender expression while still having a male gender identity; one doesn't automatically imply the other.

i feel like erasing that line is problematic because it assumes that feminine men or crossdressers are inherently "really trans," which invalidates people whose identity is cis while their expression is gender nonconforming

A man can enjoy wearing dresses, makeup, or otherwise presenting femininely without identifying as a woman or wanting to transition; his gender expression is feminine, but his gender identity is still male.
