I'm curious if it was the editor or author that wanted to get out of the Way telling the reader that Hana had sex already.
At there age it wouldnt be surprising. Just curious why they said it.
and it always the girls who are the alpha in the relationship

The topic of sex is not something strange when you have a canonical couple.

Shuu, despite having feeling of an average guy is quite a reserve person because of "future king" and "being a king", Hana being initiator in some stuff is actually a good thing in their relationship.

I thought it was weird Hana's character took a 180 in a few couple chapters we don't see her. And to think CH 53 was the last time we see the easily flustered Hana with her meek and timid side mostly gone, that's what having sex does to a MF sweet girl.

Im quite surprised also
something like that, Pretty sure author was pressured to move from the yonkoma style comedy to become shounen-esque.
just speculation. But I think trying new stuff for your comedycentric story is not a bad thing.
What happened to this manga? From slice of life to battle?
This manga has always been pretty shonen-ish, it's just that the arcs weren't as pronounced up until this point.

Actually manga-time only accepted yonkoma when this series was published, so I suppose author's hand were tied back then. Eventually this restriction was lifted so they chose to transition back to something they wanted to do from the beginning.

It should be noted that while comic-fuz treats the entire battle arc as a spin-off (They reset chapter count back to 1 at the beginning of this arc), the volume edition still consider it part of the main story. Whether or not author will return to yonkoma once this arc is over is to be seen.
